Safe Grad Night – It’s a Community Event

Thanks to all who made the OA Safe Grad 2020 Parade a success!

Join in the celebration! Again, in lieu of our traditional Safe Grad Night festivities, we are celebrating the Oliver Ames Class of 2021 with a three-mile drive-by parade on Saturday, May 22nd at 2pm beginning and ending at OA.

Prior to the parade, we will be handing out gift bags for each of the 273 seniors made possible by generous donations from over 93 Easton families, 15 local restaurants, and 15 local businesses. Grads will then ride in a car with their family along the parade route (starting behind OA, proceeding behind EMS, down Columbus, right onto Center, right onto Summer, right onto Sheridan, left onto Lothrop back to OA) and soak in the decorations, cheers, cowbells, and music supplied by YOU!

If you live along the parade route, you are encouraged to decorate your houses and yards. If you are coming to the area to celebrate the graduates during the parade, please go all out with your signs and decorations, but be respectful of route residents and our environment by cleaning up after yourselves. Also, please avoid parking at OA or R/O as these are parade staging areas and will be jammed with cars. Remember, Grads are with their family in the car, so outgoing parade route spectators are critical to a successful celebration! Please spread the word!! For the safety of all, face masks should be worn and social distancing practiced at all times.

2020 Parade Route

Mark your calendars for our next event:  August 1, 2020.   Entering its 24th year, Safe Grad Night is a drug and alcohol-free, post graduation celebration that will bring seniors together for one last memorable event at Oliver Ames High School.  The new graduates will check in at 11pm on graduation night and enjoy an all night affair until 5am Sunday morning.  (more details)

The event is funded entirely by the Easton community:  parents, community members, the school department and local businesses and cannot take place without all of their participation.

The Safe Grad Committee is asking for your help. Volunteers in all areas are needed. Donations of prizes, gift cards, and cash are always appreciated. (How you can help).

Tickets for the evening will be sold in advance at Oliver Ames High School. A ticket table will be at OA lunches in early May with the final on the Senior’s last day, May 18.  All of the activities and food for the evening are included with a ticket purchase, including a T-shirt and multiple chances to win raffle prizes.  A 2020 Safe Grad Night Privilege Form must be completed in order to purchase a ticket to this event.

Oliver Ames graduates are so grateful for your support.
